Petroleum Engineering students’ participation on workshop at Koya University

On the 24th of October 2023, a group of students from our department had the opportunity to visit Koya University under the supervision of Mr Mohammed Jamal. The primary purpose of their visit was to participate in a workshop and tour the facilities on Koya University’s campus.

During this visit, the SPE student chapter at Koya University took the initiative to organize a workshop themed “Advancements in Oil Recovery: Exploring Cutting-Edge Techniques and Technologies.” The workshop covered subjects such as the application of nanotechnology in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), and various artificial lift mechanisms. They also received comprehensive introductions to laboratory operations, focusing on the properties of petroleum, reservoirs, and drilling processes.

In conclusion of their visit, our students toured the laboratories in the Petroleum Engineering Department at Koya University.
